Story / Additional InfoFrom the artist: "Skies are something I am always willing to jump into. They are an open space where you can invite all of the colors to join in endless combinations. There is a failed sky underneath this version. Sometimes when the colors combine, they misbehave, so to make a fresh start, I made 3 large horizontal moves to cover the canvas and reset everything. This present composition is a variation on Lynn’s Sky and from that starting point, I was free to experiment with other color combinations. Once the cloud forms were in place, I worked to create more interest by adding patterns in the clouds and unusual colors for emphasis and surprise.

Ken Elliott - United States
Art Brokerage: Ken Elliott American Artist: Elliott's earliest hands-on experience with art was gained while working for an art restorer in Texas, where he broadened his exposure to a variety of mediums and styles. He also worked as a picture framer and later as an art dealer, both of which helped Ken refine his knowledge and eye for art. In 1987, Elliott moved to San Francisco, where he began to experiment as an artist. He started oil painting and drawing with pastels, focusing on the California and Texas landscapes. After a few years of self-study, Ken attended Masters classes at the Santa Fe Institute of Art, studying under landscape artist Wolf Kahn. He further experimented with monotypes and collages.
