Art Brokerage: L.J. Smith American Artist: b. 1951. He was born on December 21, 1951 in a small rural farming town in central Ohio. He worked the farm and learned art from Christopher Chambers. At the young age of 16 he sold his first piece of art a collection of self impressionism works based on a self portrait. This first work sold and started a life long passion to create. However, as most people experience, life got in the way of his art. Mr. Smith served in the U.S. military for 20 years and followed by caring for his fellow disabled veteran by own several nursing facilities. In 2001 Mr Smith sold his business and put his 2 children through art school and semi retired to Florida with his wife of 38 years. His work is primarily acrylic paintings on canvas in the style of abstract, cubism, expressionism and all things art. He uses bold colors and powerful brush strokes, in all paintings, in order to create a lasting visual impression. Art buyers (and art lovers) will see symbolic references to prominent 20th century abstract painters like Piet Mondrian and Georges Braque as he offers homage to their artistic vision through his own art. Abstract Art is his Passion. It opens his mind to something unimaginable. It brings thoughts, experiences and feelings you can only find in something you truly love. Listings Wanted.
