Michel Jouenne - France
Art Brokerage: Michel Jouenne French Artist: b. 1933. Michel Jouenne was a born painter at Boulogne sur Seine in 1933. In 1955, he started teaching drawing for the City of Paris. He established his wonderful studio in Meudon; however his home is in Eygali's, in Provence... The painter could be depicted as an artistic whirlwind, perpetually active. His exceptional working power has at present endowed him with more than 3,000 works, which are dispersed throughout the world. Jouenne has accumulated distinctions: he was made Knight of the Legion of Honour in 1990; he became the official painter of the Navy in 1991; he has a string of more than 60 medals, including the French Artists gold medal, the Grand Vermeil Medal in Arts, Sciences and Letters, and the same medal from the City of Paris. Jouenne has no other distinctions yet to receive than that of a larger audience in love with his painting... "I am a man of the earth who loves the sun, the wind, the rock and the water. Like life, my painting is interwoven with it; nature is my mistress! I draw from her, and from my physical relationship with the landscapes with which I identify myself, and with the four fundamental elements comprising it, a freely sensory delight. And I have no other message to translate in my painting than the expression of pleasure that this penetration brings me." Listings wanted.
