Provenance / HistoryAt the end of the 80s, I had the good fortune to meet Ramon Lombarte in the Plaça del Pi, aplace in old Barcelona known for its sales and purchases of paintings and sculptures.I bought this painting directly from the artist.The painting belongs to the first stage of an artist who is now attracting the interest of many serious North American collectors. Although this first stage is little known, it is of great artistic value. In this painting, Lombarte shows us a dozing man who, the more we look at her, the more she conveys a sense of calm and silence. Thanks to his mastery of light and the use of powerful, saturated colours, theartist succeeds in depicting a distinctly Mediterranean atmosphere.The painting is authentic and comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist himself.
