Provenance / HistoryFrom the artist: ""Swan Song" is a magical symphony of colors and emotions, embodying the ephemeral beauty of nature's ballet. The artist's brush seems to dance across the canvas, intertwining the threads of life and art, fleeting yet eternal. The piece captures the graceful movement of swans against a vibrant palette. Thick impasto strokes infuse the scene with intense energy, as if every feather and petal is imbued with movement. The elegant forms of the swans are accentuated by the vibrant blend of colors, creating a visual sonnet that celebrates the fleeting yet eternal beauty of nature. In the painting, we witness the moment of transformation as a swan turns into a young beauty, accompanied by two swans adorned with exquisite details. Their long necks and flawless feathers are painted in cool and warm tones, emphasizing their gracefulness. A cluster of water lilies floats peacefully below, their saturated hues contrasting with the cool blues and greens of the water. The surface of the water is depicted in swirling strokes of blue, green, and violet, reflecting both the sky above and the depths below. Above them, warm shades of sunset illuminate the clouds, lending an atmosphere of eternity to this moment on canvas. The artist often returns to this subject matter as it allows them to express both their own emotions and the musicality of their palette."

Vladimir Mukhin's works are appreciated both by professional artists and art lovers worldwide. Master works can be found in galleries and private collections in Russia, USA, Canada, France, China and Australia. After training at the Penza Art School, Mukhin, an aspiring artist, entered and successfully graduated from the famous Russian Academy of Painting. He remembers that many of his teachers had been deported to this neglected backwater of the Soviet Union as punishment for their artistic aspirations. 'I remember', he says sadly, 'they were proud but they were broken'. In 1986 Vladimir entered the Penza College of Fine Art (400 miles southeast of Moscow). It was here that Vladimir began to realize the inherent conflict of trying to become a great painter under a Soviet system that promoted uniformity. 'The credo of the artist must always be to offer a unique perspective', he says. Listings wanted
