Provenance / HistoryPiece was purchased in early 1970s from Bryant Galleries (New Orleans or Jackson) after Alvar's 1967 gallery exhibition in New Orleans. 

Story / Additional InfoSeveral Alvar pieces were purchased in the late '60s to early '70s by seller's grandparents. All through the Bryant Galleries. The offering of this piece includes several items of handwritten correspondence, in French, between seller's grandmother and the artist spanning 1969-1972. They are postmarked Paris and Barcelona. There are also some printed pieces of gallery notices and newsletters regarding the artist.
