Art Brokerage: Vyacheslav Mikhailov Russian Artist: b. 1945. Vyacheslav Mikhailov graduated the Repin Institute of St. Petersburg Academy of Arts in 1977. He is a member of the Russian Union of Artists since 1979; the State Artists Association of Italy since 1993. He is an Honored Artist of Russia. Since 1977 he has contributed to over two hundred exhibitions in Russia and abroad, including forty-seven one-man shows. Held a one-man show at the Russian State Museum (1995) and contributed to a group exhibition at the Hermitage Museum (2004). Represented by works in the Russian Museum, Hermitage Museum, Tretyakov Gallery and private collections in Russia and abroad. Mikhailov has won in Russian Exhibition in Paris "RUSSIAN BEAUTY" first prize in 1982. Vyacheslav Mikhailov has developed his own original and unique style of painting. He creates abstractions on architectural themes with skilful color schemes and balanced compositions. Painted in a fascinating technique, they combine both smooth and rough textures, achieved by the use of chalk priming. Vyacheslav Mikhailov's oeuvre continues and develops the great traditions abstract painting. Mikhailov's works are held in museums and private collections. Listings wanted by Art Brokerage.
